Italian wine price is in the popular range for half of its exports

75% of the bottles of Italian still wine destined for export does not exceed the threshold of 6 €.

Only 5% of these bottles leave the wineries at more than 9 € per litre.

A lower price positioning compared to competitors such as New Zealand, France and Australia.

The Observatory divides the price of wine into 4 segments:

  • Basic“: up to € 3 / liter
  • Popular”: from 3 to 6 € / liter
  • Premium“: from 6 to 9 € / liter
  • Superpremium“: over 9 € / liter
