Description
Intense ruby-red color, on the nose results fruity with aromas of marasca cherry and blackberries, and scents of black pepper and vanilla. To the palate is fresh, full-bodied and lasting, with soft and elegant tannins. Is perfect with red meat, aged cheeses and sausage products.
Wine varietal: Nero d’Avola 80% Neretto Mascalese 20%
Production area: Riesi (CL) – Mazara (TP)
The harvest is in the second decay of September. The grapes, once collected and became must, are left macerate over the grape skins for all the period of fermentation.
The aging takes place in stainless steel tanks until the end of the malolactic fermentation, and it continues for 6-12 months in big French oak barrels.
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
To be tasted at 16/18°C
